I hope you understand this is merely a peer review.  It's not like I have some kind of insight into how to write a research paper.<br \/>\n<br \/>\nThe first thing I look for in a research project is the problem statement.  Although the purpose of your research is clearly stated, the reason for research is to examine some type of problem.  This is the part that gives the research meaning.  When I chose my topic, I just wanted to see what would happen if I used formative assessment in the classroom.  This didn't fly with Harvey Alvy.  As he pointed out, (and our textbook supports this)you start with a problem.  The research then asks several questions about what might happen when you implement your course of action.  You have a lot of good issues which you've clearly thought about.  All you need to do now is shape them into an approach to address a problem.<br \/>\n<br \/>\nSomehow you need to sharpen your focus to your classroom.  Your comments seem to center on national or global issues.  This is a good starting point, but eventually you have to work it into your school and your class.  This is, after all, where your research will take place.<br \/>\n<br \/>\nFinally, your writing appears to be in the outline stage.  I don't know if this is a problem or not.  In my case I need to be writing as I plan to finish my research this year.
